Thank you for reaching out. Seeking help is often the most important, and yet the most difficult step in the healing process. I have been a psychotherapist in Illinois for over 25 years. My experience includes working in all areas of mental health (inpatient and outpatient treatment, group therapy, intensive outpatient, and the private sector). I have worked with individuals, couples and families on a wide variety of issue incorporating a traditional, as well as eclectic approaches to treatment. I have worked extensively with anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, emotional regulation, relationship issues, co-parenting, simple phobias, couple’s counseling, family life education, life stage issues, and mood disorders.

My professional career includes working closely with the healthcare system, being a keynote speaker at dozens of healthcare conferences, providing continuing clinical education to nurses, healthcare administrators, and licensed therapists. I was also honored to teach creativity building programs for writers and artists, and peak performance training for athletes and corporate professionals.

I blend new integrative treatment techniques as well as traditional psychotherapeutic models. Psychotherapy does not need to take years to have a positive impact. In many cases, I focus on solution-oriented, symptom relief. Individuals are complex and psychological concerns cannot be separated from family dynamics, personal history, cultural background, identity issues, work-related stress, and physical health.


I love my work. I have met some of the most caring, loving, talented and brilliant individuals as a result of my profession. Not a day passes that I do not learn something new. For that, I am forever grateful to all my teachers, mentors, clients, and colleagues.
