My name is Yana Postel-Kotlyar, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Masters of Clinical Social Work degree from the New York University Silver School of Social Work. I've worked in many different settings with individuals (all ages ranges, from children to the geriatric population) and families who have a variety of personal issues, such as depression/anxiety/OCD/ADHD, stress, family problems, trauma/abuse, addictions, relationships/parenting and more. Throughout my journey as a clinician, I have learned that there is no 'one size fits all' solution, and feel like the best treatment modality is very individual. The most important aspect of counseling is the connection you feel with the person you choose to share your struggles with. We all want to be able to share our truths, be accepted and understood. I believe it's very important to be open-minded and non-judgmental when someone opens up about their life experiences with me. I usually check my messages daily and encourage open communication. I offer messaging, live chat, phone and video sessions with availability in the evenings.
