Hello, my name is Yadira Cardenas and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. I provide telehealth services to help support individuals during difficult life circumstances and transitions. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy working with adults of all ages. My approach I use a strength-based approach in helping clients identify their inner strengths to help them navigate what may have brought them to seek treatment in the first place. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness practices to help clients implement tools to better manage life stressors. I also work with clients on finding holistic ways of managing presenting symptoms to improve their quality of life. My focus My experience consists of working with individuals facing symptoms of anxiety, grief & loss, marital issues, stress, life transitions, trauma, and maternal mental health issues. I use a strength-based approach in working with my clients to help them find skills that will promote healing and an improved quality of life. My communication style My preferred communication style is calm and personable so that my clients will feel heard, respected, and understood. I want my clients to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with me and find support and guidance during our interactions. My journey to therapy I considered entering this profession once I realized my passion for listening and helping others during difficult times. My experience in working with non-profits as a volunteer in social services and meeting various individuals from different walks of life helped me to see that this profession was the right fit for my personality.
