Hi. I'm Bill. I'm currently accepting new clients for online sessions only. I work with adults experiencing symptoms such as anxiety, depressed mood, loss and grief, identity and self-concept difficulties, relationship problems, life-transition difficulties, and traumatic memories. My therapy approach is quite straightforward and collaborative. It's structured to help you to develop a healthier and happier life. We'll begin by identifying the circumstances that prompted you to seek therapy. Then I help you to develop skills and solutions tailored for you to help you move forward toward that healthier. It's a collaborative approach. You and I work together through this process. Depending upon the circumstances the therapy approach includes a combination of Mindfulness-based approaches (MBSR), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eastern perspectives (Zen Buddhist). These along with Systematic Desensitization when addressing traumatic memories. Listening is the most important part of communication. If we truly listen to others without judgment, we can respond appropriately to them. As the Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh said, "Right Speech begins with Right Listening."
