I believe as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified Therapist, it’s important for me to come alongside you and meet you where you. I will empower you to explore goals that will lead you to experience hope and meaning in your life. This is a "no judgement zone”. I will utilize honesty and genuineness that reinforces trust and a healthy therapeutic relationship. You have the capacity to grow, develop and heal from the wounds you’ve experienced. This is about you and helping with strategies to overcome obstacles and personal challenges in your life.
My approach to counseling will focus on present circumstance and emotions in real time. It's important for me to get a better sense of you as an entire person, but not spend a lot of time on past events. I will help you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effectively.
If you are interested, we will integrate your spiritual values and beliefs into the counseling process. This will also help you to find balance in the spirit, soul and body to help navigate life challenges and difficult circumstances.
I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University, and additional required clinical studies from Ashland Theological Seminary. My BA is from the University of Northern Colorado. I specialize in work with adult trauma, martial problems, anxiety, depression and grief. I also have a passion for military and first responders.
