Whitney Catoe BIO, LMHC Jacksonville office My name is Whitney and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as partial hospitalization settings and substance use treatment centers. I have worked with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds. I am extremely passionate about providing a therapeutic place for clients to reach their full potential and I fully believe in a holistic health approach to treatment. In addition to one’s mental health, I take into consideration things such as sleep hygiene, everyday stressors and physical activity/movement. We will look at all of that and more when we work together! I assist with guiding you to embody your capabilities and provide direction along the way. Self-awareness is at the foundation of change and I believe everyone can tap into their own self-awareness with the right tools. I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques, polyvagal theory and nervous system regulation practices. I also have experience in somatic therapy. The interrelatedness of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are a main driving force for our mental wellbeing as well as nervous system regulation and increasing our window of distress tolerance. My goal is to be a support for you and to guide you to establishing a healthy relationship with your mind and body.
