I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in North Carolina. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point. I was honored to serve as a commissioned officer in the United States Army before obtaining my counseling degree. I have been working in the mental health field for 5 years and am passionate about helping others during times of distress.

I began my career as a therapist working in a hospital setting with those needing medically monitored substance detox. I am skilled in helping clients develop motivation for change and create plans for change. Now in a private practice setting, I continue to assist those with substance addictions as well as individuals dealing with other behavioral addictions, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, marital infidelity, and grief. I primarily draw upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy in my counseling sessions.

Effective therapy requires a healthy rapport between the therapist and client. I understand it can be uncomfortable reaching out to a stranger for help with deeply personal issues, and I am humbled that you would consider sharing such issues with me.
