Waseem is a licensed professional counselor who works out of Westmont, IL. He has achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with Counseling Practice from Benedictine University and Roosevelt University, respectively. During his journey, Waseem has gained a variety of experiences working in several different environments. Most recently, Waseem was a Clinical Manager at an addiction and mental health outpatient center in Buffalo Grove. Through both academic and real-life experiences, Waseem has developed an understanding on how to individualize his approach towards each client. Waseem believes in an eclectic approach, though he places an emphasis on discussing childhood traumas. “If you cut down a plant it may regrow. But if you get to the roots, you can plant different seeds”. His style of therapy has been described as calming, genuine and non-judgmental. He uses an active listening approach engaging with his clients.
