I have a lot of professional and life experience. I began my career as a teacher of English, history and reading, and then took a master's degree in the psychology of reading, fro Temple U. This training jump started my interest in helping children with academic and reading difficulties. After spending some time in England, with my family, I learned a whole new approach to the teaching of reading, including the psychological component involved. Upon returning to the U.S. I took a master's degree in Counseling and Human Relations at Villanova U. and thereafter worked as a school counselor helping parents and children, separately and together, to achieve school success and to improve communication within the family. For many years thereafter, I taught yoga as an academic subject in a Community College, where psychological and personal issues paid a large part. I counseled and taught students how to use the skills of family and peer communication, to develop self-esteem, how to use the relaxation response to relieve anxiety, etc. I also counseled them in areas pertaining to their career and their finances. In my private practice at this time, I saw many adult clients with various difficulties in the areas of anxiety and depression, how helped them to alleviate these difficulties.
