About

I am Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in the state of Virginia. I have worked in the mental health field for 20 years in a variety of settings, including: schools, homes, juvenile detention centers, medical clinics, foster homes, and traditional outpatient offices. My areas of specialty consist of depression, anxiety, coping skills, family conflict, relationship issues, self-esteem, and stress. I combine customary talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques with my clients to identify areas of social, mental, behavioral and socials dysfunction.

I strongly believe that when people can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, and have hope, people are free to experience change. Therefore, I provide a therapeutic environment for you to practice healing, while fostering personal growth and adjustment to change minus judgment. Together, will be able to navigate through challenges that are keeping you stuck and find resolutions so you may live a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

My personal motto is that " No change = No change; " in addition to "If it is to be it is up to me!" Therefore, know that change starts with YOU! So, If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
