About
Hello, I am Viviana! I'm a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Clinical Counselor (LPC-A). I provide trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy CBT, Gestalt (empty chair therapy), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing EMDR to clients in need. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Bilingual Education from The University of Texas at El Paso and y Master's of Science in Counseling from Divine Mercy University. I've worked with survivors of domestic violence, couples experiencing relationship problems, individuals with addictions, mothers and fathers with parenting issues, children, adolescents, and elders with terminal diagnoses, among others. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal and familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through the discovery and implementation of their strengths to flourish in their vocations. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I specialize in addressing the individual's self-awareness, acceptance, and overcoming distorted cognitions and maladaptive coping. I am fully committed to listening and offer my best professional practices to help you. I am also knowledgeable in spiritual development and the incorporation of religious beliefs upon the client's request. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach to every conversation we take part in. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to be part of this very important journey. "Know yourself, accept yourself, and overcome yourself" (St. Agustin) Look forward to meeting you!
