About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and have been working as a counselor for over 20 years. I am also a Master level Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State with international reciprocity throught the IC&RC. I'm grateful that I have had a wide variety of experiences including private practice, community mental health, inpatient rehabs, hospitals, long-term and short-term substance abuse residential treatment, and in-home Family Based Therapy, and I have worked in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, and California. Some of the issues that I have helped clients address are depression, anxiety, addictions, family issues, relationship issues, self-esteem and personal growth, coming out issues and issues common with the LGBTQ community, coping with trauma, and parenting (to name a few).

I believe in meeting clients where they are and working together - clients are the experts on themselves and I am here as a guide to listen, help explore options, and be a catalyst for growth. I use a variety of approaches such as Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and other approaches (depending on the needs of each individual).
