Hi, I'm Virginia. I grew up at the beach and found a love for the mountains as an adult. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Education in Community Counseling from George Washington University. I've been practicing since 2008 and I've spent much of my career working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses, like Schizophrenia. I also have lots of experience treating depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. I find that our problems are often interconnected, and I'm happy to help with relationship concerns, job issues, and other life hardships. I'm knowledgable about all levels of care including Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Hospitalization, and Step-Down/Long Term Recovery programs. I'd be happy to explain your options and help you find what will work best for you. I approach each client with care, knowing they are the expert in their own lives. Together we will explore what concerns you and find concrete answers and solutions to help you move forward. I love story telling/tellers and find there is great therapeutic value in authoring our own life stories.
