Hello! My name is Vincent Pietropaoli, but please feel free to call me Vinny. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania, and I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have more than five years of counseling experience working with individuals of all ages and many presenting problems. I have the most extensive experience working with people with mood related problems (such as: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and others) and those who have experienced traumatic events.

My approach to therapy begins with the person and grows from there. It is important to me to develop a close therapeutic relationship focusing on a person’s multicultural and social identities. With a foundation and better understanding of one's worldview and experiences, working toward agreed upon goals in therapy is a more fruitful and collaborative process. Depending on an individual’s unique issues and experiences, I tailor my treatment modality to fit them. I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I also have experience with interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and interpersonal and social rhythm therapy (IPSRT). My “therapeutic toolbox,” as I call it, has many interventions and techniques from which I can pull to help explore and process through many different situations, dilemmas, and problems that many arise in a person’s life.

I aim to provide a safe, judgment-free environment for you and to help you work through what has led you to read my profile.
