About
My name is Victoria, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I have several years of experience working with children and families in a variety of capacities. I have experience in assisting individuals deal with a range of concerns and diagnoses, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, coping with major life changes, parenting difficulties, experiences with trauma, mood disorders, and difficult behaviors. I have worked with children, adolescents, teens, and adults.
When working with clients, my approach is often client-centered. I understand that every person is different and unique, and that my counseling strategies need to be diverse. I believe that the most important aspect of counseling is the relationship that is built between the therapist and the person receiving services. I try to ensure that I take the time to truly get to know each individual seeking my help, and work on building the foundation for a healthy therapeutic bond. The techniques I use are often grounded in the theories of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My goal is to work with each of my clients to determine the best way to offer assistance, and to tailor each treatment plan to the individual needs of the person I am working with.
I believe that everyone has strengths and abilities that help them to overcome the challenges they experience in life. Part of the reason that I enjoy the work I do so much is that I have the honor of helping others identify these strengths and use them in a way that helps them to succeed even after my role as their therapist passes. I appreciate you taking the time to read about me as you make the careful decision of choosing your counselor. I look forward to hearing from you and working together with you to help achieve your goals.
