About

I graduated from the University of Denver in 2016 with a degree in forensic psychology, which is a fancy way of saying that my primary education and work experience has come from working with individuals in and involved with the justice system. From 2016 to 2021 I was a primary clinical therapist working with individuals court-ordered to outpatient treatment following their choice to commit a sexual offense. Within this role, I worked with men and women from all walks of life addressing issues including but not limited to emotional regulation skills, anger management, behavioral cycles, thought patterns, comorbidity issues, substance use, identity development, self-esteem, empathy development, personality dysfunction, family of origin topics, sexual behaviors and addictions, and coping skills. During this time, I also worked with adults with eating disorders in an outpatient setting. Since 2016 I have worked with a local trial consultant applying psychological research to civil litigation issues, especially those concerning PTSD and trauma, and most recently I have worked as a UX Research Analyst using psychological research methods to improve users' experiences when interacting with different technology and products.

My therapy style is welcoming and non-threatening, combining high levels of support and accountability. I meet clients where they are in their therapy journey, whether they are in their first therapy session even or a seasoned client. All levels are welcome, real, and valid. It is my job to provide clients with the tools that may be helpful in their toolbox as they cope with life's challenges and successes. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy, tailored to meet your specific needs and treatment goals.

Therapy can be difficult at times, and it can feel scary. However, real change often happens in these moments of discomfort. Although change does not necessarily happen overnight, focusing on lifestyle change over time, the endurance, rather than the sprint, often leads clients to success. As long as you are willing to come to your sessions with an open heart and an open, I am here to meet you so we can go on this journey together. I look forward to working with you!
