My focus My focus is individuals and couples. I have experience workig with depression, anxiety, social anxiety, complex trauma, PTSD, transgender and gender issues, grief and loss, substance and process addictions, codependency, emotional dysregulation, life transitions as rites of passage, delayed young adult launching, elderhood and other life changes, issues around incarceration and re-entry. My communication style My aim is to provide a safe environment where clients feel heard, seen, accepted, and supported, and safely challenged when it is of benefit. I want my clients to feel we are a team and they are empowered along the way. My journey to mental healthcare As a child I wanted to be an MD. I was always attending to injured animals and people sought me out to talk about their problems at an early age. As a young adult, I realized that the healing and caring I wanted to do in the world had to include the mind, the heart, and the soul. Stepping on the path of becoming a therapist led me to the necessity of doing my own healing work, which continues to this day. My goals for you Real progress and healing comes from insight plus action. Goals are set together, monitored, and adjusted accordingly.
