Hello. I am a licensed mental health counselor[LMHC] in Massachusetts with over 24 years of experience. I offer a professional, caring, compassionate, nonjudgmental atmosphere in order to facilitate healing and resolution of issues. I have extensive experience working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, eating disorders, parenting challenges and relationship issues. My approaches to therapy include: cognitive behavioral therapy [CBT], psychoanalytic and psychodynamic therapy, integrative/holistic therapy and individualized narrative and collaborative therapy. I believe in guiding people to a better understanding of their feelings and behaviors to help them understand and manage the challenges they face. This includes identifying and transforming old patterns so as to heal and flourish in current relationships.
I am trained in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy [TF-CBT], which is an evidence-based treatment that is aimed at addressing the needs of children and adults struggling with PTSD. I believe listening and hearing my clients is a basic component of assisting people in improving their ability and capacity for resilience, self-acceptance, compassion and wisdom. With respectful and skilled guidance, individuals are able to improve self-awareness and insight, reduce distress, achieve goals and experience more joy and meaning in their lives.
Using a solution-focused, strength-based approach, I focus on your strengths in addition to improving any weaknesses that are obstacles to getting you back on the path to a happier, fulfilled, more meaningful life.
