I am a clinical mental health counselor and addictions specialist licensed in the state of North Carolina with 3 three years’ post-graduate experience. I received my master’s degree in Clinical and Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University, Department of Addictions & Rehabilitation Studies, in 2018.

I have worked in outpatient settings with individuals, groups, and families experiencing depression, trauma, gender identity concerns, suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, life phase adjustment concerns, anger, behavioral addictions, and substance use disorders (whether in recovery or taking first steps toward recovery). My approach combines humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused brief counseling. I integrate motivational interviewing techniques to create a positive atmosphere of acceptance for all individuals, free from judgment or labels. I will respect your gender identity, race, culture, faith practices, and life experiences. Sessions are informal and genuine, so feel free to be yourself as I value unique and individual personalities and beliefs!

I believe effective change occurs when therapy addresses holistic wellness – the physical, emotional, and spiritual facets of one’s life. As I follow your lead, the focus of therapy will remain on your level of comfort regarding any of these areas. Change can be difficult, but the right support can make the process easier. We are not meant to do life alone. I will listen to your needs and your desired outcome from the therapy process to help you create your ideal plan for recovery and wellness.
