My name is Venessia Johnson, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, currently practicing in the State of Mississippi. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a graduate degree from Jackson State University. My mission is to enhance quality of life by empowering clients and providing them with tools and skills that will promote emotional well-being, wholeness and resiliency.

I am passionate about working with a variety of clients to assess/identify strengths and/or weaknesses; diagnose problematic moods, behaviors and family dysfunctions while providing support to individuals, groups regarding emotional problems or family situations.

I am experienced in working with clients to foster the development of new coping, problem solving and communication skills by utilizing therapeutic interventions such as, “Strength-Based Therapy”, “Solution-Focused Therapy”, “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy” and "Dialectical Behavioral Therapy" .

My practice includes working with clients diagnosed with various diagnoses such as, Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, Impulse Control Disorders, Conduct Disorders, Depression and other Mood Disorders.
