I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with 20 years of experience in the field of social services and 13 years of experience in the field of mental health. In my years of experience, I’ve worked with children and adults who have difficulties managing symptoms of mental illnesses and emotional disturbances (i.e. depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, parent/child conflicts, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, and day-to-day life problems). As a social worker, I strongly uphold to one of the Social Worker’s Code of Ethics that includes, “respecting the dignity and worth of a person” and exercise compassion and having a non-judgmental approach with each individual.
I endorse and utilize multiple therapeutic techniques that includes the following: psychodynamic techniques, cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, person-centered techniques, dialectical behavioral techniques, and solution-focused techniques. I am sensitive and respectful in using techniques that are agreed upon by the client and suitable to meet each individuals’ need.
