Ms. May is a bilingual PhD student & our owner/founder. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from UTD. She went on to continue her training in Psychology by earning an M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from UNT. She is currently a licensed counselor, a licensed marriage and family counselor associate, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Her clinical training has been diverse and includes conducting group and individual psychotherapy, marriage and family counseling, weight loss therapy, and working at an outpatient addictions clinic with an underserved population. She has a collaborative approach to therapy, in which she works together with her clients to help them reach their individual goals. She is committed to helping others recognize their strengths and using those to build a life worth living. Ms. May has a passion for assisting adolescents and adults in identifying how certain emotions, thoughts, and behaviors may be impacting their life. As an individual with a very diverse upbringing herself, she respects the unique cultures, experiences, and preferences of her clients and personalizes treatment to fit their individual needs. In her spare time, Ms. May enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and painting.
