About

I am a licensed professional counselor. I attended college at Texas State University in San Marcos and earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology. I moved closer to my family in 2003. I completed a Master of Education in Counseling at West Texas A&M University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. I am trained in Say It Straight Training and have a certificate in Food, Nutrition, and Health.

My passion is to help individuals through the counseling process in a comfortable and relaxed environment that is collaborative in nature. Therapy sessions resemble warm conversation in a safe office environment that allows clients to express freely and openly. My approach includes person-centered, solution focused brief therapy with communication training and a focus on education. I believe that nutrition also affects mental health and that we need to look at our bodies as a whole when treating one issue. The client will decide on the issues and goals that they would like to focus and work through. I feel that faith is an important aspect to grow in order to feel complete and whole. I believe relationships are the true agent for change and that faith is very important to guide one to find the changes that need to be made in order to have a life that is filled with purpose and passion.
I feel that one of the most important outcomes of counseling is to help clients clarify their goals and values to discover their life’s purpose and to fully live. Therapy is an opportunity to grow and discover your path in life and to develop skills to ensure your own unique journey that leads you to a full life.
