Hello, my name is Trisime Close. I am a licensed clinical social worker, mental health professional, and certified yoga instructor. I have the upmost respect for those who have the courage to reach out and ask for help. I believe all people are doing the best they can with what they have, people can change and do get better, and people can find ways of overcoming challenges and increase their feelings of being connected and joyful in life.
I promise to do my best in ensuring a safe environment where you can openly discuss your experiences, thoughts, concerns, and feelings. I use a holistic approach that has been shaped by my experiences and education and specialize in helping people access their authentic self. As a person-centered counselor, I strive to provide a positive therapeutic setting based on the pillars of person-centered counseling: unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness. I may use interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral or cognitive processing therapies, relaxation/stress reduction techniques, and relational and attachment therapies.
I am curious about you and what you want to do with your life. My focus is to provide a safe space where you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences and how you have overcome difficult circumstances in life. I will help you to gain a new perspective by identifying positive factors that were not present before and reinforce the steps you would like to take to move forward with your goals.
