Hi there, I'm Tricia! My name is Tricia Righetti. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in San Luis Obispo County, California, working with clients statewide via Telehealth. I work with adults specializing in substance use, trauma, anxiety, and depression using a strength-based approach. My approach My approach to therapy is individualized, based on the needs of my clients and the goals they set forth. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems Therapy through a Trauma-Informed lens. My focus Currently, I am working with adults. Typically I see individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and substance use issues. I have a deep understanding of childhood trauma as it relates to mental health/substance use. I support my clients in building self-awareness by addressing negative thinking patterns while helping them develop healthy coping strategies. My communication style My communication style is client-centered, empathetic, and direct. I provide a space for clients free of judgment and shame. I engage with clients in sessions through active listening and speaking from a place of compassion and understanding. My journey to therapy I have a profound understanding of how hard life can be sometimes, which has fostered in me a deep source of empathy and compassion. I am inspired by how strong the human spirit can be; I see potential in everyone. Helping others has been such a meaningful experience for me. I view my clients as empowered and self-determined individuals; I am there to support them on their path to wellness.
