I believe all healing comes from self love. In counseling sessions this is a primary objective. My name is Trenda Berkey and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a great deal of experience in working with individuals and families. I was in private practice for over 10 years and have worked with a myriad of different clients and issues. Change is inevitable and learning to be able to adapt and accept some of life's challenges with a healthy attitude is a worthwhile pursuit. One of the things we do in cognitive behavioral therapy is to reframe issues. Reframing helps an individual be more objective about what is happening. This takes a willingness to change negative thoughts. Developing an attitude and an outlook which is positive and healthy takes courage and commitment. Counseling is one intervention that can help you do that.
