I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervisory designation, with experience in treating a range of issues including anxiety, depression, mood instability, coping with specific health concerns, and addictions.

I was born to Irish immigrants and grew up in Chicago. I graduated with honors from The Ohio State University in Columbus with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Psychology Minor. Following graduation, I became licensed and began working in a mental health crisis facility while earning my Masters Degree. Internships afforded me the opportunity to work with teens in the juvenile justice program and assist with mental health needs in a high school setting. Upon finishing my graduate program, I began working at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus and assisted patients and their families with coping with Cancer diagnoses and all of the stressors that come along with it. I now work in rural Ohio in a Health Center helping people to connect their behaviors with their health outcomes.

During my career, I have conducted research on Anxiety treatment and have dedicated myself to continuous learning. I utilize a motivational strengths perspective and solution focused treatment. Building rapport is paramount in learning about clients and what is truly troubling them. I became a social worker to help others during challenging seasons of life and my passion for working with people has never wavered; I would love to help you, too!
