About

I am a professional counselor with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field working as a crisis counselor, consultant, and career coach. I work with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, psychosis, trauma, loneliness, and hopelessness. My existential approach to therapy means I work with you to understand what values or priorities are most meaningful in your life, and then find ways to live according to your values despite. I have previously worked closely with veterans, people who are suicidal or extremely depressed, people who have survived traumatic life experiences, and adults and youth who are struggling to make sense of the world after a loss or hitting a rut in the rhythm of their life.

From my perspective, the purpose of therapy is to help people live a meaningful and fulfilling life. As a therapist, I help people to achieve this goal by actively listening to you as you describe your experiences or points of struggle, reflecting on themes or patterns, and offering tools or skills that might help you to activate change in your life, or manage uncomfortable feelings in a healthy way.
