About

Hello, I'm Tracy Taris. Welcome. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who offers hope and healing to my clients. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy to help clients gain an understanding of past dynamics and how they are affecting their present ways of being. My clients find freedom from depression and anxiety, they renew their relationships, improve their self-esteem, and revitalize intimacy with their significant other. My focus I offer couples, individual, and family counseling. My specialty populations include Entertainment Industry People and other Creatives, Christians, and people in need of empowerment. I treat creative blocks, communication issues, stress, panic and other anxiety disorders, and sleep disorders. I also specialize in women's, spirituality, relationship, and mind/body issues. My communication style I believe in the directive approach. Though the first session or two are history gathering, we begin the healing work immediately. You will leave feeling hopeful after the first session. After gathering information that allows me to conceptualize what is going on for you, together we will develop a plan to help alleviate your current symptoms, stop behaviors that are getting in your way, and implement new behaviors that help you change your life to allow you to move forward. My journey to therapy I became a therapist because therapy worked for me. At first, I would refer my friends and family to my therapist. But one day I had a thought: "You should become a therapist." It resonated. I ran the idea by my husband and three of my closest friends. All four of them said something like "I can see you doing that," or, "You would be so good at helping people." So, I applied to graduate school, got my degree, then my license, and here I am. My goals for you Once I have an understanding of what needs to change. I communicate my understanding of it to you, so that you develop insight into your life patterns
