About
Dr. Tracy LaChapelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. LaChapelle began as a telehealth pioneer with Stokes Counseling Services' innovative and community-based approach amid the Pandemic Crisis in 2020, supporting individuals, couples, and families with trauma-informed services. She has over 25 years of clinical and supervisory experience working with others expressing difficulties with anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, trauma, overwhelming stress or hypervigilance, gender/sexual identity, sensory issues, or dis-ABILITIES. Her passion is supporting others' internal self-regulation healing process, self-confidence, and becoming resilient by identifying their unique strengths and fullest potential within the non-judgmental and supportive therapy relationship. Furthermore, individuals with diverse backgrounds learn to become stronger by witnessing themselves having healthier, more satisfying relationships (parents or families, partners/spouses, friends, school/employment, etc.) during their everyday interactions. Many referred to Dr. LaChapelle, who feared attending therapy for the first time or expressed unsuccessful therapy experiences. In addition to her time with Stokes, she further engages in consultation and educational peer-reviewed research; on underrepresented and marginalized Deaf, deaf, and Hard of Hearing (D/d/HH) populations of all ages advocating for inclusive and equitable access to communication. Tracy will provide online counseling only.
