What should your client know about you? I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician since 2011 and deliver mental health services through home, and telehealth. I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology, a BA in Psychology and English, and a focus in Human Rights and Political Studies. I hold a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and am certified to treat the Disordered Gambler. I have delivered training to law enforcement professionals regarding assessing mental health symptoms in minority groups. What is your approach to therapy? It is not only care for the individual physically and emotionally, but also care for the "whole" person in order to live a well-adjusted life in all stages of development, pursuing interests and hobbies, interacting with one's community, utilize social supports and spiritual beliefs, achieve healthy self-expression, achieve academic and/or vocational goals, manage health needs, and manage healthy relationships. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? A measurable, strength-based treatment plan that outlines clear and realistic goals based on a mutually agreed upon time frame will be created and periodically monitored for progress and efficacy. I will utilize my therapeutic and behavior modification skills to successfully promote individual growth in a counseling atmosphere. I demonstrate the importance of professionalism, patience, energy, and understanding to ensure alignment, comfort, and trust which will encourage goal acquisition.
