Dr. Tracy Williamson is here to support your well-being. Dr. Tracy strives to help people connect with their inner self and wisdom and provide tools to help them increase hope, joy, and happiness in their lives. She customizes treatment to each individual client and uses different approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Focused Solution, Trauma Based Therapy, Person-Centered and an Eclectic Approach. Dr. Tracy has extensive outpatient clinical experience (20 years +) and 15 years of private practice. She received a scholarship and graduated with honors receiving her Ph.D., specializing in Human Development Psychology. Her dissertation was on Domestic Violence. She also attended California State University, Long Beach for a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and completed a thesis on ADHD and Learning Styles. She treats depression and anxiety and severe behavioral health issues. She has four years of experience working with the military and helping treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She was also embedded with a Battalion of Marines and Army, helping them to cope with work and family stressors, for three years in Hawaii and California. While in practice, she has held an academic position teaching graduate students and supervising students to become therapists themselves. She was the Director of the Counseling Center for 10 years where she taught courses at the Chicago School of Psychology in Irvine. For many years prior to this she worked as a Teacher, Special Education Teacher and a Family Support Coordinator for San Juan Capistrano and Torrance Unified School District. Dr. Tracy. has lived on six different continents and visited over 70 countries which allows her to see things from a multi-cultural perspective as well. She understands the ethnic needs, concerns, and culture of people with diverse backgrounds and respects and knows how to work with these diversities.
