Self acceptance is at the heart of healthy functioning. By accepting ourselves we open up our heart and mind to the wonderful possibilities life has to offer.

I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas. I graduated from the Seminary of the Southwest with a degree in Counselings. Before completing my degree I volunteered in several positions that allowed me to sit with people who were hurting. I take my role as counselor very seriously and place my relationship with clients at the heart of the work that I do. In addition to my degree, I have trained in Dialectal Behavior Therapy and EMDR. I have also received advanced training in trauma and post traumatic stress. I have helped people from all walks of life, race, age and faith backgrounds. I have extensive experience helping clients who have served as first responders , active duty military and veterans. In addition to EMDR and DBT, I also liberally use mindfulness and meditation to help my client develop coping skills and grounding. I utilize CBT to help people struggling with depression and anxiety.

The relationship between client and therapist is at the heart of effective counseling. A secure client/therapist relationship develops the trust needed to process through painful and difficult feelings. I take pride in offering a client-centered and collaborative experience to my clients.
