I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota with more that 15 years experience in the mental health field. Following my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Philosophy, I became a Registered yoga teacher, and trained Community Mediator. I combined my experience and studies to provide addictions counseling, yoga instruction, and mental health therapy to adolescents in a residential treatment program, and later with adults experiencing homelessness. After receiving my Masters in Social work from Portland State University I've worked with adults experiencing Severe and Persistent Mental Illness both in their homes and in a long-term care program.

My therapeutic approach could be labeled as "Transcendental-Existential-Humanistic-Mystic" which is to say that I believe we are part of something bigger than ourselves (Transcendental), we get to decide what that is and how we live (Existential), though we are in this together (Humanistic), and that when we live and work together with intention and compassion magic happens (Mystic). At the same time I often say, "label jars, and not people," so I might more easily just say, "however I can help!"
