Hello! My name is Tina Taylor and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have over 16 years experience working in the mental health/behavioral health fields. Within my practice history, I have worked with people representing the lifespan: adults, teens and children. I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient psychiatric centers, inpatient facilities and public school settings. I have helped people address and cope with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, boundary-setting, parenting, relationship problems and difficult life changes. Throughout our lives, we encounter situations that bring about strong emotions that can be very difficult to manage. With the right-fit support, I believe the ability to cope and overcome difficulties is very achievable.

My counseling approach is warm, authentic and client focused. I will use ideology and techniques from a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Family Systems Therapy to help you self-reflect and discover who you really are and who you want to be. We will explore your core beliefs, thoughts and feelings that have given way to a pattern of behaviors that have impeded your ability to feel successful in life. There is no topic that is off-limits and my commitment to you is to work as hard as I can to provide you with a safe place to work as hard as you can to achieve your goals during counseling. Your time is valuable and we will use that time in a manner that is important to you. This counseling relationship is about you. Potential subscribers should be aware that my hours will change to alternate hours starting in August, as I will be returning to my full-time position in the school setting.
