About

Hello! My name is Tim Weitzel and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. I have worked in a wide range of settings including Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare and have loved every second of being able to help people. I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges and family difficulties. I truly believe that within each individual there is talent, potential, promise and most importantly, the ability to improve in the direction YOU want to go.

I have lived in Ohio my entire life and the majority of my professional life has been spent working with youth and families within their homes. I am a 2010 graduate of Case Western Reserve University and also possess a Master’s and Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati and Tiffin University, respectively. My career has always been about one thing: change. Helping people make changes that ultimately improve their abilities and quality of life. There is no better feeling in my profession than to see the success of my clients.

My approach to therapy is simple and is completely focused on you. You are the expert on your life and will determine the directions in which we go. You will determine how deep our discussions are and I will be there for you in confidence and support. Through a strengths-based approach, I will utilize a variety of treatment models to not only identifying detrimental thoughts, feelings and behaviors, but to expose your many strengths and develop a plan that meets your needs. Throughout our work, my goals will be to assist you in feeling well and developing skills that enable you to manage your daily stressors. Getting you to a place in which you can enjoy your life by utilizing the tools and skills you develop will be a great accomplishment to celebrate!

Outside of my profession, I am a husband, father, youth football coach and avid golfer. I love spending time with my family, exercising, playing sports and coaching. My hours and availability will be in evenings and over the weekend so hopefully this meets your needs! If our paths cross, I look forward to working with you and making significant progress toward our goals!
