I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2007 at Wayne State University in Michigan. I also received additional certifications such as Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a certified Substance Abuse Professional. I have experience working in residential settings, outpatient, as well as practicing as a site supervisor. I have been dedicated to helping individuals with substance abuse as well as mental health difficulties.
My goal is to provide person-centered treatment utilizing eclectic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. I also value providing exceptional active listening skills, education, and support to clients. Specialty areas include: substance abuse/addiction, co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, adjusting to difficult life challenges, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, and stress management. I am very open-minded and laid back and strive on providing a comfortable level of engagement that promotes an easy and relaxed environment to share in. I am passionate about providing the highest quality of care by providing a non-judgmental and understanding space to help clients tackle problems, improve functioning, and improve quality of life.
