My name is Tiffany Meeks. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. My clients range in age from 5 years to 60+ year who are seeking aid with mental health and/or substance use disorders. I have been providing individual, family, couples, and group therapy services for 4 years for various problems including but not limited to depression, anxiety, suicidal/homicidal ideations, self-harming behaviors, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, anger management, bipolar disorder disorder, schizophrenia, trauma, abuse, adjustment disorders, and substance use disorders.

My therapy style is personable, laid back, and interactive yet challenging when appropriate. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I believe that treatment should be based on the needs and personality of the individual and therefore use various forms of therapy including but not limited to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness therapy, motivational interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I am also a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider (CAPTP). I will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

My goal is to provide a safe environment, mutual respect, and build a trusting, non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship in order for my clients to feel empowered, heard, and supported. I work to help them identify their strengths and build upon those skills to work towards therapeutic goals, challenge negative thinking, process trauma, alleviate challenges, and build hope in their lives.
