About
Tiana Burdick, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the mental health field for over 8 years. Tiana has worked with various mobile crisis teams, starting with EMPS which involved taking calls from 211, working with children under the age of 18, and de-escalating crisis situations amongst children and their families. Tiana has also worked with adults via the DMHAS mobile response team since 2019 in both the Torrington and Middletown areas. These experiences have allowed Tiana to gain insight into family dynamics, and how people function when a major change, stressor, or crisis situation, occurs in their life. Tiana attended both the University of Connecticut for her B.A. and Southern Connecticut State University where she ultimately obtained her Masters in Social Work. In addition to her years of crisis work and brief care, she also has experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum for 3+ years. Tiana is passionate about her work and making sure that she takes an individualized client-centered approach. She believes that meeting a client where they are is important, as well as trying to keep in mind the importance of individual/family culture, religious, and/or spiritual backgrounds.
