My name is Tiana Hopkins, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University and undergraduate degree in psychology and ethnic studies from UC Riverside. I began my career working as a crisis counselor with suicidal adolescents, which is where my passion for mental health began. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples working through a variety of mental health illnesses including; depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, personality disorders, chronic pain, addictions, and self harm. My therapy style consists of focusing on the clients goals for treatment and utilizing strength based techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma focused treatment to support clients in reaching their full potential. I enjoy bringing creativity, tactile resources and art to sessions to provide new perspectives and to push clients to step outside of their comfort zones and promote growth. My specialties include helping individuals overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, trauma and abuse. I am able to work with individuals ages 5 and up. Specialties include: adolescent depression, anxiety, school issues; adult anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder; PTSD; marriage/couples counseling; family therapy.
