My name is Thomas (TJ) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience working with diverse populations in the state of Idaho. I have worked in a variety of settings including acute psychiatric hospitalization, residential substance abuse treatment, partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient, and individual therapy. My experience has allowed me the opportunity to work with a multitude of populations with differing psychiatric diagnoses. I have experience working individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, eating disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorder, LGBTQ+ community, substance abuse, and much more.

My approach is very person-centered and my focused is on the client's needs. I do not believe it is my place to tell people what they need to change, but rather, to help guide them to self-actualization so they can make change within themselves. I implement several therapeutic modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also make my best attempts at catering to each person's learning style and have an array of resources to meet each clients unique needs.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my partner and two kiddos, hanging out with all the fur children (including my Axolotl), enjoying the outdoors, and even playing video games.
