Hello!

My name is Theresa and I have worked in the mental health field for about twenty years as a psychotherapist, social worker, and counselor. I have helped my patients tackle a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, as well as other issues which come about in our lives. Hopefully, my style will help you to find some answers, and help you to develop a healthy emotional skill set that you can use when problems arise. My sessions tend to be interactive and I ask a lot of questions, after all, you are the expert on your own life. My approach is person-centered and I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I received my Master in Social Work from SUNY Stony Brook, and a PhD in Social Welfare Policy Analysis from the same university. I have provided mental health services in a number of settings, (inpatient, addictions, outpatient, correctional and to the LGBTQ community) and I am licensed in NY and PA.

No one is perfect, and I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. I know it can be hard to ask for help, but I am so happy that you are taking the first step to help yourself today.
