Teresa has an extensive amount of experience assisting individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, procrastination, stress management, burnout, and navigating cultural, gender, and family expectations. Teresa supports AAPI Americans, people of color, and the international population. Her own therapy journey has allowed her to see first hand how powerful therapy can be to help anyone feel seen and supported and gain confidence and love in and for oneself. Teresa was born and raised in, Taipei, Taiwan and has lived in various places in her adult life, including China, Sweden, and Pennsylvania, USA. There are times in our lives where we feel lost at sea. However, even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. Through therapy, you can learn the tools to navigate hard times and build the internal resilience to accept reality as it is and fulfill all your wishes. Here, with gratitude, she invites you to begin the journey. Teresa received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Pennsylvania State University. She draws upon evidence-based techniques including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. She also has a background in multiculturalism and feminism training, which provides her solid understanding of the larger context of how diverse mental health issues have been influenced by our system. She provides individual counseling sessions in English and Mandarin.
