I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas with 8 years of experience working in behavioral health in both acute inpatient and outpatient settings. I got my undergraduate degree in social work from Texas Christian University and a masters in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I work mostly with issues related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and the challenges that cause and exacerbate these disorders. I believe in establishing rapport and mutual trust in order to make progress and provide an encouraging and non-judgmental environment. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to address faulty thought patterns that may be hindering overall wellness as well as Solution Focused Therapy to aid in problem solving and goal setting. My counseling style is hopeful, active, and motivating with an understanding that any therapy requires hard work and diligence by both the therapist and client. It takes a lot of courage to seek help. I commend you for taking the first steps, and I would be honored to share this journey with you.
