Deciding to change is a difficult choice to make and asking for help in the process can be even more challenging for some. Many times individuals may find themselves stuck or needing assistance with emotional, mental, or social areas of their lives that are holding them back from their full potential. That's where my role as therapist can be beneficial. My philosophy to counseling is to help individuals facilitate positive change in one's life. This is done drawing upon the strengths that an individual already has and at one's own pace. I view counseling as a collaborative process where we work together on mutual goals using a wide variety of tools and techniques in doing so.

I have over seven years experience helping individuals in various settings. I have worked in a neuro-rehabilitation outpatient facility and a private practice where I have been able to work with a wide variety of problems ranging from mood disorders, emotion regulation, disability related issues, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, life transitions, stress management, and work-life balance. I have education relating to using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach as well as mindfulness and meditation.
