Additionally, she has intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Contingency Management, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure, and treatment of Substance Use as well as Mental Health issues inclusive of process (also known as behavioral) addictions. Tarynn counsels adults, young adults, and teenagers who are navigating a variety of life challenges and transitions. She is a LGBTQ+ ally. In addition to the above she has extensive experience treating adjustment difficulties, anger, anxiety, bullying, complex trauma, compulsions, depression, disassociation, domestic or intimate partner violence, guilt, hyperactivity, impulsivity, inattention, indecision, infidelity, insecurity, interpersonal conflict, intrusive thoughts, mania, negative self-view, obsessions, non-suicidal self-injurious as well as suicidal behavior, neglect, shame, situational stressors, sexual/physical abuse, panic, perfectionism, psychotic symptoms, traumatic grief/loss, and worry. Tarynn has a special interest in helping individuals recognize, break free, and recover from gaslighting and narcissistic relationships. Through psychoeducation and improved awareness around tactics, techniques, and manipulations used by others she hopes to empower clients to take back control of their lives. Her therapeutic style is compassionate but direct with the intention of offering reframing/coaching to help activate behavioral change that is congruent with life-worth living goals and values.
