Hi! My name is Tara Bowles and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Richmond VA. I have been in the social work field for over 20 years and have 10+ years of counseling experience working with kids, teens, adults, and families. I love what I do and am passionate about helping my clients recognize barriers and achieve their goals. My therapeutic interventions include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and strength-based therapy. I am originally from California where I received my undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University after serving three years on active duty in the Army and received my master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
