Hello! My name is Tanya Parker and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker practicing in Massachusetts. I have been providing clinical services in a variety of settings for ten years. My experience working with individuals ranges from acute settings such as Crisis Intervention and Residential Programs for mental health and substance disorders to outpatient settings where I have provided therapy. I have significant experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and addiction. I have also worked extensively with families, particularly families in crisis with complicated dynamics.

My philosophical approach to life and to treatment is a feminist, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent one. I am more than happy to work with people of all genders including transgender and non-binary. In my opinion in order to understand the whole picture, one must take into account the individual's social position - a constellation of their gender, race, sexual orientation, economic standing, and other factors.

My clinical approach to treatment is based in cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused brief therapy. However, should a client prefer a more relaxed structure than those methods provide, I am flexible and willing to provide a more relational therapy approach.
