Tanya is Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of Hunter College Silberman’s School of Social Work. Tanya specializes in Attachment therapy, with 10 plus years of experience working with individuals and families, and four years post training and direct practice in parent child attachment therapy. Tanya is passionate in her mission to foster healing within individuals by building therapeutic rapport, and exploring unresolved past or present internal conflict. Tanya believes that healthy attachment between the parent and child during early stages of life, shape and create a secure internal world for the child who becomes the adult we see before us today. Through the use of the psychodynamic approach and exploration of intergenerational attachments/relationship, you and Tanya will explore what it is that you believe is the underlying issues of your distress. Tanya will partner with you to explore the possibilities of early childhood trauma and ruptures between the child and the caretaker. It is these early childhood emotional wounds that may interrupt early childhood attachments, which can manifests in the present life of the adult and adult relationship/s. Through dialogue within a safe, nonjudgmental holding space, you and Tanya will explore your past or present experiences in effort to find meaning, resolve, and healing.
