Hi there, I'm Tanner! Hi, I hope your browsing or search for a therapist is going well. I know it can be a lot of pressure to find and choose a therapist based off a picture and bio on a website. If you feel like we would be a good match I would be excited to work with you and if not, I wish wellness. I am an LCSW and have been practicing therapy for 5 years. I am currently seeking my PhD in Human Development and Family Studies in the Couple and Family Therapy track. I have worked with people who experience anxiety, depression, distress in romantic relationship, parenting struggles, and children’s problematic behaviors. In my therapy I use cognitive behavioral therapy, aspects of play therapy, and I enjoy parenting interventions—I am informed in the evidenced based parenting model generation PMTO. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I come from a family systems theory background meaning the family unit (whatever it may look like) influences and has a ripple affect on each other’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. What I know is that you are the expert in your life, and I want to join with you and assist you in achieving the goals that you have for yourself, your relationship, and/or your family.
